India’s first Metaverse Experience Center (MEC) was launched in Noida near New Delhi. Led by Metaverse911, the center is expected to serve as the hub of immersive technologies, spearheading innovation, collaborations, and solutions in the extended reality (XR) domain.
In particular, MEC offers experiences in Virtual Reality (VR), Assisted Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Metaverse Solutions. MEC is open to industry leaders and technology enthusiasts who want to visit the center for immersive tech demonstrations and exploration of industry-specific use cases.
Earlier, we reported the much-awaited game Forever Has Fallen (FHF) was finally launched on March 19. FHF turned out to be a game-changer for story-driven adventures within the metaverse.
Rahul Sethi, Founder & Chairman of Metaverse911, explained, “Our goal is to provide a platform for CIOs, CTOs, CXOs, and industry leaders to explore solutions that can be implemented to solve their organizational challenges, ushering in a new era of digital innovation in the country.”
MEC will train industry professionals, focusing on helping them leverage these technologies to solve problems and scale their businesses. For example, an Assisted Reality solution can repair a car, bike, or machine with remote assistance.
The center intends to provide industry-specific digital twin simulation, data collection, and analysis solutions. It introduces enterprise and consumer-centric metaverse.
MEC has superior-quality hardware and devices to facilitate optimal immersive experiences for visitors. These include HTC VIVE Focus 5K, Oculus Quests 2 & 3, Realwear Devices, Apple Vision Pro, Pico VR Headset, Microsoft Holo Lens, Phygital Robotic Human Head, and high-end simulators.
“With a robust network of over 10+ esteemed partners and strategic alliances globally, including leading companies from various industries, we deliver cutting-edge XR solutions tailored to diverse sectors. From immersive training programs to industry 4.0 solutions, our offerings encompass AR, VR, MR, AI, robotics, Metaverse, Digital Twin, and more, empowering businesses across Manufacturing, Healthcare, Entertainment, and beyond,” MEC says on its website.
The center also facilitates knowledge sharing through interactive workshops, which can be used for networking and collaboration.
MEC was inaugurated on March 1, 2024, and a corporate announcement was made on April 16. On the inauguration day, more than 35 distinguished guests from industry, government, defense, and global agencies visited the Metaverse Experience Center.
